Podcasts and Audio

They say you can tell what a child might become if you watch them closely when they are seven or eight. When I was 8 years old my family bought their first ghetto blaster with a built-in mic. I made a disturbing amount of radio on this tape recorder with the giddy excitement that only pressing play and record can bring. This was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with radio and audio.

My broadcasting career began like a shotgun wedding. After a fifteen minute lesson on how to use the panel at community radio station 3RRR it was just later that week that I found myself co-hosting a graveyard shift, and playing music to three people and various animals, during the middle of the night.

I was hooked. It was exhilarating. And since that very first lesson, I have continued to learn and love making radio. It is the greatest passion of my working life.

I was a broadcaster at 3RRR for eight years and made the move to the ABC in 2015, working with the Double J team and as Music Director for Local Radio. As well as presenting The New Music Show on ABC Radio, I have produced and presented a number of national broadcast events including a special with Archie Roach & Emma Donovan celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Charcoal Lane album, and the ‘Streets of Your Town’ specials with The Waifs and Bernard Fanning.

I have been a regular voice on ABC Radio Melbourne, co-hosting the Breakfast show with Sami Shah, hosting Afternoons and The Friday Revue with Brian Nankervis.
